A duck made of light.

HollowDuck generates a single-view, black-background animation from a 3D model. Reflective foil or a suitable display creates the floating-image illusion. The screen itself displays a normal 2D image; the browser does not create a free-floating optical hologram.

Display setup

The player opens with the animation filling the screen. Tap the canvas to reveal pause, fullscreen, and settings controls. Controls fade after a few seconds. The settings button opens all appearance and export options; Escape or the close button dismisses the settings panel. Choose Hologram for luminous scan lines or Original for the duck’s yellow and orange textured material. Opacity runs from 0% transparent to 100% fully opaque in either mode. Glow and motion update live. Adjust your screen brightness and room lighting for your display. Enable “Mirror for reflection” when the optics require it. This first version is a single-view master, not a four-sided pyramid layout. Physical foil/display performance has not been tested.

Live animation

The experience renders directly on your device. Video export is disabled. No video files, uploads, or camera access are needed.

The approach follows Realfiction’s content guide: isolated bright objects, black surroundings, a stable camera and floating motion. Device-specific layout and codec requirements must be checked against your display.
